King Rotari’s hills

For well-trained cyclist, a long circular way that hugs the village of Brescia, Rezzato, Castenedolo, Montirone, Poncarale anf Flero. These are hills of the king of Rotari, duke of Brescia and , from 636 to 652, the king of Longobardi and the king of Italy. The dukedom of Brescia was one of the most important dukedom of the Longobard kingdom. Brixia was one of the city where the presence of the longobardi was bigger and with the royal monastery of San Salvatore-Santa Giulia, expand its influence in the surrounding territory. In order to sweeten the long bike ride, we advise a break in one of the cake shop that you will find along the itinerary
