Winery
Winery Lazzari is situated in Capriano del Colle, small town near Montenetto, an alluvial and clay hill that stays in the middle of “bassa Bresciana”, 12 km from the south of Brescia. Montenetto, that has an elevation between 150 and 170 meters above sea level, has a clay soil and a particular microclimate, traditionally devoted to quality viticulture
Winery Lazzari is extended on 6 hectares all over the hill, instead of buildings that are situated in the old town center of Capriano del Colle
For three generations our productions have been characterized by a mixed agriculture, centred on grain growth, zootechnics and wine production.
In 1993, winery passed over to third generation: Giovanni and Dario. Since 1993 Lazzari Brothers has been pointing to wine-producing specialization, abandoning other agricultural fields to invest only in the production of high quality wines. So the extension of planted surface and the renovation of vineyards with the transformation from pergola “bresciana” to modern methods of “growing” such as Guyot and Spurred Cordon, are evolutive steps essential for a qualitative improvement.
Lazzari Brothers use an “integrated” viticulture, adhering to programmes of respect for environment subsidized by European Community with OCM Wine (ex 2078, ex Measure F integration 1.1).
Productive philosophy focuses on respect of environment, maximizing the expression of couple variety of vine-environment. The attention for vineyards is centred on careful and detailed agronomic interventions depending on different necessities of plants and according to commercial typology.
In 1995 there was the first extension of wine cellar.
Particular specialization led to regards from enological critics and also commercially speaking.
In 2005 another extension of wine cellars focused the investment both on technological structures and on departments, commercial and receiving. In fact, thanks to this extension, the winery can offer hospitality for customers and for business wine-tasting (AIS, ONAV and Route of Wine, Hills of Longobards)
