Easy itinerary by bike along the Route of Wine Hills of  the Longobards (you can use your own bike or rent it).

Schedule:

Departure from Piazzale Fossa Bagni, you can travel through again an ideal itinerary through hills that were place of settlement of the Longobards;  proceed along Via Turati, running along the vineyards of the Colle Cidneo. Proceed along Viale Venezia and S.Eufemia , you go through the first signaled part of the Valle del Marmo route, and reach Botticino, where you can visit the Marble Museum and, weather permitting, the Caves. Break for a taste of Botticino DOC wine and typical products , among which we recommend honey produced in the surrounding valleys . Then, you proceed for Valverde , reaching the shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary appeared to a peasant in 1399 and reappeared to two children in 1711. From Via del Santuario go on passing through the center of Rezzato to arrive in Castenedolo travelling the SP Rezzato-Castenedolo. Once you arrive in Castenedolo, you can visit the Parish Church and the Sala dei Disciplini. Break in a winery that produces local IGT Montenetto red and white wines. Then you go to Montirone , where you can visit La Fioreria Agritourism- beauty farm and school of flower arrangement. Floral exposition and Museo Floreale are very interesting. From Montirone , through normal and uneven stretches of road of the country, we reach Poncarale (Cascina San Bernardino) and then proceed through vineyards and rows for Montenetto of Capriano del Colle. We recommend a break to taste the Capriano del Colle Doc Red wine. Passing through Flero, you return to Brescia. We would also recommend breaks in our affiliated bakeries and trattorias.

Length: 65 Km – Path: easy . Bikes with gears and sturdy tires are suggested.
